Membership
HRAA offers a single membership category — General Membership.
General Members :
Hotels, resorts, restaurants, and hospitality-related businesses operating within the State of Assam, meeting the eligibility criteria below, and paying the prescribed membership fee may apply for General Membership.
Applications are subject to approval by the HRAA Executive Committee, whose decision on membership admissions is final. The Executive Committee reserves the right to reject any application without assigning a reason.
Eligibility :
Membership is open to:
- Hotels / Resorts – Classified (minimum Two Star) or Non-Classified meeting the standards below
- Standalone Restaurants offering full dine-in service
- Associate Members providing products or services to the hospitality sector
Hotels / Resorts :
Classified Hotels / Resorts:
- Minimum Two Star classification by the Department of Tourism, Government of India
Non-Classified Hotels / Resorts – Must meet all of the following:
- Minimum of 10 lettable rooms
- At least 25% of rooms air-conditioned (for hotels with 10–12 rooms, minimum 3 air-conditioned)
- All rooms with attached toilets
- Fully operational
- Equipped with a functional restaurant, banquet, and bar facilities to maintain professional standards
- At least one qualified hotel management professional in a managerial position
Restaurants :
Any operational restaurant may become a member if it:
- Has air-conditioned premises
- Offers full dine-in service (takeaway-only outlets are not eligible)
- Has a minimum of 25 covers
- Includes upmarket fast-food outlets or eateries with air-conditioning
Associate Members :
Businesses providing products or services to the hospitality sector, such as suppliers, consultants, or service providers, are eligible for the HRAA Membership.
Membership Fees :
Annual Fee Structure:
- Hotels (0–30 rooms): ₹7,000/-
- Hotels (31–60 rooms): ₹9,000/-
- Hotels (61+ rooms): ₹12,000/-
- Standalone restaurants: ₹5,000/-
- Associate members: ₹12,000/-
The Executive Committee has the authority to collect membership subscriptions, donations, and other funds for the objectives of the Association. It maintains transparent records of all income, expenses, assets, and activities related to the management of Association resources.
