Aim

Since 1987, when the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Assam was incorporated as a Company limited by guarantee and not having share capital, the Association has served the interests of the hotel and restaurant industry. The Association over the last several years has taken effective steps to encourage, promote and protect the interest of member establishments. It aims to rendering professional assistance from time to time to all its members on topics of vital importance.

To plan, promote and protect by lawful means, the interests of the Hotel and Restaurant Industry of Assam. 

Mission

To secure for the hotel industry its due place in India's economy and project its role as a contributor to employment generation and sustainable economic and social development; highlight its crucial role in the service to Assam tourism industry and help raise the standards of hoteliering and to build an image for this industry both within and outside the state. 

Objectives

  1. To create awareness of the significance of the hotel industry in contributing to the growth of tourism in the state, general economic development and employment.
  2.  To secure for the industry its true status as a core infrastructure industry.
  3.  To highlight the problems faced by the Hotel Industry in Assam and forcefully take up the matters in appropriate levels. 
  4. To serve the members by establishing a Data Bank to provide timely information, data, advisory and research services. 
  5. To formulate strategies, in the areas of land, finance, taxation, training procedures and legislation to accelerate grow border-bottom py-3th. 
  6. To ensure better services and facilities to the tourists and maintain a reputable standard in the hotel industry through education and training of the members and their employees. 
  7. To discourage unfair competition amongst its members without in any way interfering with the initiative and enterprise based on fair trading.
  8. To adjudicate and settle any difference which may arise among the members whenever its arbitration is requested by both parties concerned. 
  9. To interface with Central and State Governments and other authorities on issues concerning the hotel industry. 
  10. To synergize with all segments of the hotel industry and apex bodies of the tourism sector in Assam, NE and India, and work for the creation of a common platform.Help protect and conserve the culture, tradition and environment of the region.
  11. To work together, cooperate or act in consent with any other association or organization to assist in or facilitate the fulfillment of the Objective of the Association.
  12.  To contribute to the development of tourism in the region.To take appropriate legal steps to safeguard and protect the interest of the members.
